Financial assistance is available for: - Utilities, FPL and TECO, eviction prevention, and other basic needs funds are available for qualified applicants. - Rental assistance only when funding is available. - A limited number of names can be taken for financial assistance. Assistance is subject to approval and is not guaranteed. Eligibility: - FPL, TECO, and water assistance You must have a valid crisis and past due balance or shut-off notice. - Rental/housing assistance You must show a valid crisis and/or a 3-day eviction notice. Required Documents: Please bring the current photo ID for all household members 18 and over and the last 4-digits of the social security number for everyone in the household. Once the referral is accepted, a case manager will contact you and provide instructions on which documents are necessary, as they vary for each service.

Services: Electric Service Payment Assistance for Older Adults, Gas Service Payment Assistance for Older Adults, Heating Fuel Payment Assistance for Older Adults, Utility Deposit Assistance for Older Adults, Water Service Payment Assistance for Older Adults. This office provides Emergency Home Energy Assistance for the Elderly Program (EHEAP), which assists low-income households, with at least one person age 60 and older when the households are experiencing a home energy emergency. A home energy emergency may result from a delinquent utility bill, lack of fuel or wood, or the receipt of a shut off notice. Payments are for home heating or cooling and other emergency energy-related costs during the heating (October-March) and cooling (April-September) seasons. Eligible households may be provided one benefit per season, up to $600 per season. Program beneficiaries may receive vouchers to purchase blankets, portable heaters, and fans. The program can also help pay for repairs to existing heating or cooling equipment or for re-connection fees. Eligibility: Documented heating or cooling emergency, at least one individual age 60 or older in the home, and a gross household annual income equal to or less than 150 percent of the federal poverty guidelines.

The Enrichment Center is a member-based program designed to promote active lifestyle choices and maximize the quality of life. Monthly or annual memberships are available. Classes include health and wellness, dance, exercise, foreign language, tai chi, and card games.
